Lucky Powys residents have won a share of £3.2 million on the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Hundreds of people around Llandrindod Wells are set to celebrate this weekend after it was revealed a postcode in the area won a £3.2 million prize in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Postcode Lottery players in the winning postcode area will share the multi-million-pound prize and have been told they’ve won at least £1,000 each.

The winning locals will find out exactly how much they’ve won at an event at Pavilion Mid Wales on Saturday February 3. 

The lottery have revealed that the area of a postcode in LD1 5 are the winners of the £3.2 million Lottery prize. A full winning postcode will also be revealed, with people in that specific area winning the biggest cash prizes.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson will be in the town on Saturday to give winners the good news and present them with a cheque of their own.

“I’m sure everyone playing with a postcode starting with LD1 5 will be buzzing with excitement and eager to find out exactly how much they’ve won,” said Mr Johnson.

“I can’t wait to meet them this weekend and celebrate alongside them. What a way to start 2024 – llongyfarchiadau.”    

People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are “guaranteed winners every day”.

The lottery sees people play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws. 

Since its founding players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.2 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes. 

This has included good causes close to the winners such as Powys Samaritans in Llandrindod Wells who received £14,000 last year to provide confidential mental health support to people in the area. 

This Postcode Millions draw was held on behalf of Postcode Support Trust, which funds charities including Missing People and the Royal Voluntary Service.
