LLANDRINDOD Wells’ war memorial will be cleaned in June, with the cost of the project funded by the town council.
The spa town’s cenotaph is owned by Powys County Council, but Llandrindod Wells Town Council has agreed to fund the cost of a clean as one of its town regeneration projects.

“Llandrindod Wells Town Council has agreed to fund the cost of the professional clean of the war memorial from its budget for this year,” said the council.
“The war memorial is owned by Powys County Council, although the town council arranged refurbishment under the war memorials grant fund some years ago.
“The clean will be undertaken in early June as this process requires good weather.”
