He covers everything from court and crime to breaking news, education, pubs, food and drink and human interest stories. Matt started as a reporter on the County Times in 2006, and returned to his native Powys in 2019 and re-joined the County Times in 2020. Away from his laptop or the courtroom, Matt is a Manchester United obsessive, avid reader, keen mountain biker, runner and hiker, and also volunteers with several organisations.
