THE 40th anniversary Rhayader Round the Lakes Race has been confirmed as taking place on March 2 next year and entries are now open.

Entries for the epic and scenic race opened on October 1, with more than 100 runners signing up on the first day.

There are two distances, a 10k and a gruelling 30k, and entries will close on February 2, 2024.

“We are pleased to confirm the date for our 40th anniversary race as Saturday, March 2, 2024,” said race organisers.

“Entries close 12 noon on February 2, 2024. We are also pleased to announce that even though the cost of pretty much everything has risen quite a bit, we’re keeping our entry fees the same as last year.”

Entry for the 30k race is £27 or £25 for affiliated runners, while the 10k race is £12 or £10 for affiliated.
