Firefighters were called out to a van fire on the road between Welshpool and Shrewsbury this morning, temporarily obstructing the route.

On Wednesday, October 18, firefighters from Shropshire were called out to an incident on the A458 in Middletown at 9.16am.

A van had caught fire while travelling down the road and was forced to stop at the roadside, with the driver fleeing the vehicle.
