LLANDINAM swimmer Carys Morgan has earned a place in the Swim Wales National Performance squad for 2023/24.

The Llanidloes High School student has been a Swim Wales National Performance athlete since 2020 and can now look forward to another season on the pathway for swimmers, providing appropriate training and education in relation to the development of key performance skills and behaviours.

Carys is excited to continue her commitment and hopes the opportunities provided by Swim Wales during the 2023/24 season will help her to continue to develop and achieve great future competition goals.

The 15 year old has also been selected to represent Swim Wales at Swim England Inter-Counties Team Championships 2023 to be held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield this weekend.

Carys has been fortunate to continue to compete at this high level with the support during 2022/23 season of P&L Community Trust.

Carys was delighted to receive this individual grant award and that the importance of nurturing talent in young people and ambition is recognised within our community.

Carys trains at Waterworld in Wrexham under head coach Steve Parker.
