TEENAGER Cerys Shirley Smith has been selected for the Welsh hockey age grade squad for the forthcoming season after impressing at trials.
The 15 year old Ysgol Bro Caereinion student has trained at North Wales Women’s League side Llanfair Caereinion Hockey Club since she was seven years old.

After attending trials with Hockey Wales in Cardiff she was selected for the age group teams for 2023/24 tournaments both in United Kingdom and abroad.
A club spokesperson said: “We as a club are over the moon to announce that Cerys has been selected and secured her place in the team.”
