MAGISTRATES have issued an arrest warrant for a Welshpool man after he failed to show up for court.
Dominic Owen Grant, 25, had been due at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 9, after being charged with failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
Court heard this week that this is the third time Grant has been accused of breaching a community order he first received in April 2023 – for stealing and then joyriding and abandoning his aunt’s car in Welshpool in December of 2022.
Grant, of Castle Walk, Welshpool, is accused of failing to comply with the latest order by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on May 12 and 26 and failing to attend an office appointment on May 30.
Magistrates granted an arrest warrant, not backed for bail.
