IT’S the end of May bank holiday weekend and that means it’s biker weekend in Builth Wells, as the first No Bull: Just Beer & Bikes even of the year comes to town.

The four-day spectacle gets underway on Thursday, May 23 (today), and finishes on Sunday.

There will be a whole lot of music, as well as other entertainment, taking place at Penmaenau Farm, as well as The Fountain Inn, in Builth town centre.

“It’s the first big event of the year and the site’s in quite a good place,” said Gwyn Davies of No Bull.

OTHER NEWS:

“We’ll be there, come rain or shine. We’ve got a good formula for the event and it brings a lot of trade into Builth.”

There will be live bands across all four days, with local heroes The New Deadly performing at Penmaenau on Thursday; Wildside, Bus Pass, Full Dark No Stars on Friday; The Jolly Rogers, Plenty in the Tank and Ironed Maiden on Saturday; and Sun Dogs, Fret Wolf and Black Sheep Reloaded playing on Sunday.

Meanwhile, at the Fountain’s ‘Afternoon under the Marquee’, Saturday will see performances by Crazy Alien, The Goodges and James Oliver; while Sunday presents Night Shift, Pistachio Nuts and Rhythm Machine.

“Looking forward to seeing you all from Thursday, May 23. Gates will be open from 12 noon onwards,” said a post on the No Bull: Just Beer & Bikes Facebook page.

“(Please note the gates will be temporarily opened at 9am to allow traders only in early to enable them to set up).
