The main picture here is a cracker from the Newtown Donkey Derby of 1964. This event remains part of Newtown folklore and while it is unlikely it would ever return in its past format it would be wonderful to see donkeys once again grace the green spaces of the town on carnival day.
Our next picture is of Castle Caereinion Church fete 1964. Are you this little girl? Get in touch and let us know.
