A MAN is due to appear at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court next week charged with threatening another man with a knife at a Powys homeless shelter.
Brandon Wood, 29, is accused of unlawfully and intentionally threatening Ben Shields with a Stanley knife at the Gwynfa homeless hostel in Llandrindod Wells on March 5.
It is also alleged he assaulted Mr Shields and damaged a fire alarm at the Lant Avenue shelter.
Wood, formerly of Llandrindod but now living at Crown Street, Newtown, had been due to enter pleas to all three offences at Merthyr this week, but his case was adjourned.
His case has now been relisted for a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 7.
