A POWYS man has appeared in court charged with rape.
Daniel Rowlands, 28, is charged with raping a woman in Meifod in 2021.
He appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 30, but entered no plea, as the charge is an indictable only offence, so can only be heard at the crown court.
Rowlands, of Glanclegyr, Llanbrynmair, was told his case was being sent to Mold Crown Court.
He is due to appear there for an initial hearing on May 31. He was granted unconditional bail.
