Newtown Rugby Club club marked last weekend's home clash against Rhyl by remembering the late Dylan Leach.

The popular player died suddenly in March 2023, prompting tributes from across Wales.

A club spokesman said: "We managed to raise and donate £100 each for Ponthafren and MND Association with a further £100 donated from the Leach family to Ponthafren.

"In memory of Dylan, a trophy was donated by Severn Trophies Engraving & Gifts and will be presented to the man of the match each time Newtown RFC play Rhyl & District RFC at home. This year's winner was Ollie Vaughan.

"Thank you also to No.1 High Street for donating a raffle prize to help us raise money."
