One Machynlleth pub is set to close its doors so that another can re-open as the managers of one will be taking over another.
Machynlleth’s Dyfi Forester Inn pub will be closing its doors this weekend as managers Lee and Kimberly announced via social media that they would be taking over the Skinners Arms in a few weeks’ time.
Dyfi Forester Inn confirmed they would be closing on March 23 as its managers prepare to take on a new venture.
Writing on social media, they said: “Team Foz will be taking over the Skinners Arms in a few weeks time. We are very excited about this new venture and hope that you are too.

“It has been a big decision for us, and one that we have not made without taking everything into consideration.
“So it is with a heavy heart we inform you that the Foz will be closing its doors on March 23, at least for the time being.
“In true Foz style we will be drinking and dancing the night away on March 23. We would love to see you all there and look forward to welcoming you into the Skinners.”
The news comes after The Skinners Arms was temporarily closed for renovation work, shortly after its own managers, Jackie and Steve Day, stepped away in December 2023 after 12 years behind the bar.
