TENANTS at a popular Powys pub that reopened last year after being closed for a year say they have been “blown away” by the support received since they opened the kitchen a little under a month ago.

The Hundred House Inn has been revitalised since being taken over and reopening last October, with new owner Gareth Morris instigating a total refurbishment of the village watering hole (as you can see from the below Facebook post).

The previous tenants turned off the pumps in October 2022, citing rising energy bills, which they said had left the pub “impossible to run on any level”.

OTHER NEWS:

In February the pub finally opened the kitchen, and this week thanked locals and visitors for the support shown. “Wow, what an incredible first month of food,” the pub announced on its Facebook page.

“We really have been blown away with the support, well wishes and amazing feedback received from you all.

“The whole team work incredibly hard to give you the best experience possible from the moment you step through the door. We thank you for your patience whilst we have been getting into the flow of it all, understanding that with lots of large group orders and all being freshly cooked waiting times vary.

“We look forward to welcoming even more of you soon.”

The pub’s opening hours are 5pm-11pm Wednesday-Thursday; 5pm-late Friday; 11am-late Saturday and 11am-11pm Sunday until March 22, when hours will be extended.
