Rattus has heard that the residents of Powys have received new water bills with a massive increase from last year.
This will impact pensioners and those on low incomes very badly. Just remember that many water companies pay their executives massive bonuses but still allow untreated sewage to enter our waterways.
Rattus has a cunning plan. Fine the water companies billions for polluting rivers and renationalize them without compensation to cover the fine.

The water companies have thought of that one. Many are so in debt that the remaining equity is almost zero. If they went bankrupt the lenders would lose their money. It might teach the water companies a lesson but the lenders are usually our pension funds or banks.
Rattus has heard people say we won’t pay. With the amount of rain we have had recently water won’t be a problem but he is not sure he wants to go to a Ty Bach in the garden on a cold wet night.
