ROTARIANS in Powys learned some lifesaving skills earlier this month as members from a local branch of the St John Ambulance Service delivered a training session.
Builth Wells Rotary Club hosted a training session, which was delivered by the Llandrindod division of the St John Ambulance Service. The session was held at the Greyhound Hotel, where Builth Rotary Club hold their meetings.
This was their first community awareness session for 2024 and is a great incentive for the club. The two representatives, Dan Harper and Sindy Traylor, gave an informative and enjoyable demonstration, endeavouring to train the Rotarians in regard to first aid instruction and the use of CPR.

This included familiarisation with automatic defibrillators, various resuscitation dummies and what to do if someone is choking.
The training was very well received and afterwards Rotary club president Ciaran O’Connell presented a cheque for £150 on behalf of his fellow members to the St John Ambulance Service.
