Llanidloes Youth Club has received £2,000 from two local organisations to help fund work with the town’s young people.
The Rotary Club of Llanidloes donated £1,000 and St Idloes Masonic Lodge presented a cheque for £500 which was match-funded by the Provincial Grand Lodge of North Wales.
Rotary members raised £668.11, which was later bumped up to £1,000, following a Christmas street collection for the much-needed youth centre which was re-started by local parents.

St Idloes Masonic Lodge held a successful ladies evening attended by members and visitors from local lodges in December at Llanidloes Bowling Club.
A spokesperson said a collection was held to support of the newly-formed youth club.
They said: “The Lodge are delighted to support this worthwhile cause to support the youth of the town, and look forward to seeing the success of this group giving young people a meaningful purpose to interact socially with their peers in a safe environment.
“Members reminisced of their time in youth clubs during their formative years and the enjoyment they derived from their time there.”
The Rotary Club of Llanidloes added that members will carry out street collections for Marie Curie on March 23 and 24.
