AN arrest warrant has been issued for a Liverpool man for a second time, after he failed to show up for court.
Matthew Erangey, 31, is accused of drug driving in Newtown on March 30 this year.
He was due to appear at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 28, but he failed to attend, so the bench issued a warrant for his arrest. A previous warrant had been issued by the same court in October, after Erangey had failed to show up for the initial hearing in relation to this offence.
Erangey, of Broughton Drive, Liverpool, is alleged to have driven a Renault Arkana in Newtown while over the drug drive limit.
It is said he provided a reading of 464 micrograms of benzoylecgonine (BZE), a derivative of cocaine, to police officers when he was stopped on New Road.
