LLANDRINDOD Wells mayor Marcia Morgan has expressed her thanks to local residents who helped to promote the spa town when weatherman Derek Brockway visited recently.
Meteorologist and BBC weatherman Derek stopped by various businesses and groups on Friday, October 20, including the Lakeside Café and Fuelled By Cake, filming as part of his Weatherman Walking series.
It was a miserable day of rain and flooding, but there was a ray of sunshine when he brought along his BBC colleague and Llandrindod native Sue Charles.

“I would like to thank all of the residents who showed their support by kindly agreeing to be involved with the filming of the BBC Weatherman Walking programme this week,” said Councillor Morgan.
“What a great opportunity to promote our wonderful town. The film crew were very impressed by our strong community spirit and said that they could fully understand why we had previously been voted the ‘happiest place in Wales’.
“Thank you also to our town clerk for all the work she did behind the scenes.”
The programme featuring Llandrindod is due to be aired in spring next year.
