I was shocked to find that parking had gone up to £2.50 in Newtown.
This is a small rural town not a city.
It was once thriving and now has been left to rot away.
Since the end of Development Board for Rural Wales (DBRW) and Mid Wales Development (MWD), it seems that money has been pulled out of the town centre and efforts to get new business into the town of little interest to authorities in charge.

There is no longer a shoe shop or shoe repairer in town or a men’s clothing shop.
You can’t blame the out of town supermarkets for that.
Banks closing hasn’t helped either. It’s about time the community raised its voice over these matters - before it’s too late.
