The Dylan Price foundation raised over £9,000 on his memorial day which took place earlier this year.

The day celebrates the life of the late teenager who was tragically killed just outside Bishop’s Castle in a hit and run incident just over two years ago.

The day involved a host of activities including Car boot Stalls, Tree carving display, a display by Nicky Tranter tree services display, a Bouncy castle, a Hog roast as well as a double header of rugby between Knighton and Bishop’s Castle and an England vs Wales Veteran’s match.

The foundation has already given generously to good causes such as the Crowgate Child Centre in Bishop's Castle, the pastoral team at Bishop’s Castle Community College, where Dylan was a former student and YoungMinds, a charity working to make sure children and young people get mental health.

Last month marked two years since Dylan’s tragic death after he was fatally struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday September 19, 2021, as he was walking home from a party along Brampton Rd on the outskirts of Bishop’s Castle, the day before his 18th birthday.

In the latest appeal which was made last month Dylan’s mother, Louise Bristow, said: “He’d done his lifeguarding, he wanted to be a member of the coastguard or just something out there. He loved nature, he could tell you any animal in the sea almost and was very family orientated.”

“The not knowing is just heartbreaking, it’s still there every day. If somebody knows something, just tell us.

“If it is somebody they know surely getting it out there would be so much easier for them because living with the guilt for two years must be absolutely horrendous.

“We know it was an accident but surely – we just want answers.

West Mercia Police are still appealing for witnesses and have said that if anyone has a piece of information “no matter how small” to contact them via 101 and quote the incident 140i of September 19 2021.
