“Although Llanidloes is a beautiful historic town with a thriving community, we need more people visiting and purchasing the fabulous items that the town has to offer.
“From local meat, fish and vegetables, artisan bread and other delicious foods to crafts, handmade jewellery, bikes, books, and antiques, not to mention fabulous cafes and restaurants. The town has something for everyone – including the dragon trail and other ‘dragon’ based activities in and around town.
“It’s not for nothing that Llanidloes and its surrounding countryside is known as Dragon Country. We hope that people will come and see for themselves and use what the town has to offer much more than as at present.”

The campaign aims to celebrate all local businesses, from Llanidloes’s florists to accountants, from clothes shop to gift shops which keep the local economy alive.
"Totally Locally isn’t anti-supermarket or anti-online”, said Totally Locally founder, Chris Sands. “There is a place for all these things in our lives. It’s just highlighting how a small change in spending habits can make a huge change to Llanidloes.
“We have a choice to make the place we live that little bit better by just diverting £5 or £10 of our weekly spend back into our local economy. And everyone wants their town to be great.”
