DRUGS have been seized after West Mercia Police descended on a property in Kington on Friday (September 15).

Kington's Safer Neighbourhood Team said officers carried out two warrants at a home and at licensed premises. They found a small quantity of illegal drugs and paraphernalia at the house, but nothing at the licensed premises.

"A small quantity of a class B drug was found," said a West Mercia Police spokesperson. "Investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made."

Police have not specified which drug was found, but examples of class B drugs include cannabis, ketamine, codeine, amphetamines, Ritalin and spice.

The maximum sentence for possession of class B drugs is five years in prison and an unlimited fine.
