THE Builth Wells committee of Cancer Research UK held a fundraising music quiz in The Lamb in July, helping to raise more than £600.
The popular music quiz was organised and hosted by Lee Jarvis in the outdoor area of the pub on Wednesday, July 5, with 24 teams, totalling over 120 people listening to music excerpts from film and TV themes and a selection of pop music from the 1970s and 80s.
Some of the really well-known songs got everyone singing along which added to the enjoyment of a lively evening.
The winning team were the ‘Woolly Wednesdays’, who were presented with the trophy and first prize.
Congratulations and thanks to all who took part. A £50 donation from the local running club, who won the best float at Builth Carnival, boosted the total raised to over £600 for Cancer Research.
