A worker at the Co-op in Llanidloes is taking on the challenge of walking the Severn trail to raise money for a good cause.
Bethan Charles said she was inspired by colleague Julie Siddons who returned from an 18-day sponsored walk in July raising £1,973 for Wales Air Ambulance.
As a result, Bethan is now taking on her own challenge to walk the route of the “Source of the Severn” trail which takes hikers to the source of the largest river in the UK.

Bethan has said “she will be supported by family and colleagues” as she walks the challenging route in aid of children’s charity Barnardo's – Co-op's charity partner.
Bethan hasn't walked the route for about seven years and last took to the trail with her teachers and friends from Ysgol Cedewain.
As a part of the fundraising Bethan is encouraging shoppers in the store to make a donation to Barnardo's and get involved.
She is doing this by getting customers to guess how many steps it will take her to reach the post marking the source of the River Severn after she sets off on her journey from the Hafren Forest Car Park next week.
