A well-known Newtown landmark has just had a “fantastic upgrade”.
Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council has announced that the town clock has been given new LED backlighting to allow it to shine brightly at nighttime.
In a statement released by the council they said: “We're pleased to announce that Newtown's iconic town clock has received a fantastic upgrade.
“The clock faces' backlighting has been replaced with state-of-the-art LED technology, bringing a brighter and more vibrant display to our beloved town.
“It's yet another example of our commitment to improving the aesthetics and functionality of our town's beloved landmarks.”
