CIARAN O’Connell has been ushered in as the new president of Builth Wells Rotary Club.

He was presented with the chain of office from the outgoing president Baden Powell on Thursday evening, June 29.

Baden said: “I have built on the sterling service provided by the previous presidents and it has been an honour and privilege to be the first farmer to hold the title of president in Builth Rotary.

“I had an active year of fundraising, including many presentations, walks, meals and stimulating evening speakers – I even hosted a drum/percussion session.

“It is now time to hand over this role to Ciaran, the new president.”
