Work to build a new multi-use games area in Newtown town centre has begun.
Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council said it is “excited” that work has started in the former town park playground, adjacent to the new Severn Play Park.

The construction is scheduled on and off throughout May.
A council spokesperson said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
“We look forward to providing a new and exciting area for the community to enjoy.”
