The world-famous gardens at Powis Castle near Welshpool inspired Llanidloes and District Gardening Club members to get gardening this summer on a recent “stunning” trip.
The celebrated garden is often listed among the most beautiful in the UK and is credited as the pinnacle of horticultural excellence with its showstopping designs which draws thousands of visitors every year from across the world.
A Llanidloes and District Gardening Club spokesperson said: “The group was greeted by a beautiful blue sky and warm sunshine, which provided the perfect backdrop for a leisurely stroll through the grounds.

“The garden’s manicured lawns, well-kept flower beds, and ancient trees were appreciated by everyone.
“The visit to Powis Castle gardens was a memorable day out and an inspiration for all garden enthusiasts.”
The Gardening Club, which runs from March to November, is keen to attract new members to join them on trips and monthly meetings.
