A DAY of fundraising in the Elan Valley is being organised for victims of the devastating earthquakes which destroyed lives and communities along the Turkey-Syrian border this weekend.

Organisers of Elan Quake Aid say that all money raised will go direct to the Disaster Emergency Committee. The event is being held on Sunday, April 2, starting at 10.30am

The event offers something for everyone and will include a 7.5 mile run or walk around the stunning Caban Coch circuit and a 13km history walk with David Davies. Entry and details for both of these activities can be found at www.sientries.co.uk.

Then there will be a family bug hunt and wildlife ramble with Phil ‘the Bug Man’ Ward, plus mountain bike rides with Pippa Boss, with all abilities catered for.

County Times:

All activities start and end at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre.

Car parking charges have been waived by the centre and can be donated to the fundraising effort.
