LLANFYLLIN High School sports teams will look the part for the forthcoming year after receiving a host of new kit from a Welsh border building firm.

Award-winning company Paveaways Ltd has thrown its support behind the school with its football and hockey sides now sporting brand new kits.

It is an exciting time to be a sports enthusiast at Llanfyllin High School which recently opened a new state of the art 3G pitch

A Llanfyllin High School spokesperson said: “We’re proud to show you our new senior boys’ football kit which has been very kindly sponsored by Paveaways Ltd.

“They have also generously provided a range of equipment to enhance the teaching and learning of football and hockey on our new 3G pitch which is already proving to be a fantastic facility to support the provision of sporting activities all year round.

“We are extremely grateful for their generosity.”

“We are particularly appreciative of the support of Mark Griffiths and Jamie Evans who have continued to ensure that the PE Department and the learners of Llanfyllin are always put first,” added the spokesperson.

The school is enjoying a fine sporting year with the under 15s girls team having the honour of playing the first competitive game on the new 3G facility.

The girls hosted Ysgol Bro Teifi in the last 16 of the Welsh Schools’ Cup and bowed out with heads held high following a well-contested clash.

Meanwhile Llanfyllin High School girls’ under 14s rugby team ended second at the North Wales tournament held in Bala.
