LLANIDLOES Town host local rivals Guilsfield in the JD Cymru North derby on Boxing Day.
Both sides go into the clash in search of points to climb the table with the Guils having maintained match fitness with a friendly against North West Counties League South side Ellesmere Rangers last week.
Llanidloes manager Chris Davies hoped the game would represent a turn in fortunes for his side.
He said: “We’re looking forward to the game. It’s the festive Boxing Day fixture and an added bonus of it being a mid Wales derby.

“We drew 2-2 with them away and it was a game of two halves and a really competitive match.”
The Daffodils hope to welcome several players back from unavailability and injury.
Davies added: “We’ve got a few players returning which is good news for us so we’re hoping we can get our season back on track with a positive result.
“We know we’ll face a well organised and solid outfit who are on a good winning run so it’ll be a real challenge for us.
“We’re expecting a big crowd and hopefully we’ll to get a win to take into 2023.”
