A POWYS visitor is praying for a Christmas miracle as he looks to be reunited with a treasured heirloom.

Ian Glass, from north Wales, has reiterated a public appeal in the hopes he can be reunited with a piece of his classic car that went missing while on a trip to Llandrindod Wells more than a year ago.

Ian was attending an event in the Spa town in July 2021 and left without a vital piece of his Marauder classic racing car – one of the vehicle’s hub caps.

The car is very dear to Ian, who has owned it for more than 40 years, and he offered £100 for anyone who could help reunite him with the vital part.

Ian has once again renewed his appeal, putting a post on the Llandrindod Solutions Facebook page, hoping he might be reunited with the car piece in time for Christmas.

“A little over a year ago I lost the hub cap off my 1951 Marauder near where the pavement is being widened at the moment,” he said in his post this week.

“A search of the hedge and undergrowth failed to find it. I offered a reward but sadly it wasn’t claimed.

“I passed by this weekend and noticed the hedge has been thinned and undergrowth cut back. The reward still stands.”
