TWO women and a man will face trial next year after another woman received knife injuries to her face and neck during an incident in her Powys home in the early hours of the morning.

Kathryn Llewellyn and Teresa Dilys Morgan-Peters appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Monday (December 5) where they denied charges including wounding with intent and burglary with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The charges all relate to an incident in the Pen y Bryn area of Ystradgynlais in the early hours of November 1 when a woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Llewellyn, 42, is also charged with two counts of possessing a bladed article, while Morgan-Peters, 44, is charged with one count of possessing a bladed article. Both women deny all charges.

A third defendant, Gregory Alexander Morgan, 36, faces one charge of sending an electronic communication with intent to cause distress or anxiety, which he denies.

All three were remanded into custody, with a trial – expected to last five days – scheduled to begin on April 17, 2023.

Llewellyn, of Golwg y Mynydd, Godregraig, near Ystradgynlais, was previously remanded in custody and appeared at Monday’s hearing via video link from HMP Eastwood Park.

The two knives alleged to have been used in relation to the charges she faces are a Stanley knife and a silver handled lock knife. Morgan-Peters, of Dolfain, Ystradgynlais, appeared in person.

Morgan, of Heol Meurig, Lower Cwmtwrch, Ystradgynlais, had previously been charged with conspiracy to cause GBH and appeared in court where there was discussion over his arrest for breaching bail which took place in Brecon on December 4.

He will appear at Swansea Magistrates Court on December 8 in relation to that matter.
