Four men have denied being involved in an alleged conspiracy to burgle buildings in six counties across Wales and England.

The group will face trial at a Crown Court after pleading not guilty at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (August 30).

Brad Oakley, Andrew Bell, Sean Thomas and Jason Thomas are charged with conspiring together to commit a burglary with intent to steal by trespassing buildings in Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

The alleged offences happened in 2019 between July 7 and August 24.

Jason Thomas, 42, of Queen Street, Pensnett, Dudley, is also charged with driving an Audi A3 dangerously between Newtown and Telford on August 23, 2019. He denies the charge.

The defendants and their charges are:

  • Brad Oakley, 22, of Willow Road, Dudley, pleaded not guilty plea to conspiracy to burgle with Jason Thomas, Sean Thomas and Andrew Bell
  • Andrew Bell, 51, of Princess Road, Oldbury, Sandwell pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to burgle with Jason Thomas, Sean Thomas and Brad Stephen Oakley.
  • Sean Thomas, 28, of Poplar Crescent, Dudley pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to burgle with Jason Thomas, Andrew Bell and Brad Stephen Oakley.
  • Jason Thomas, 42, of Queen's Street, Dudley pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to burgle with Andrew Bell, Sean Thomas and Brad Stephen Oakley and driving a motor vehicle dangerously on roads between Newtown and Telford.

All four men were released on unconditional bail until a plea and trial preparation hearing takes place at Mold Crown Court on September 30 when a trial date will be announced.
