WE all surely dreamed of living in a treehouse at some point in our childhood – well, how would you like to get married in one?

An award-winning treehouse business in Mid Wales is offering couples the chance to tie the knot in a totally unique location.

Squirrels Nest, a bespoke collection of treehouses in Llanbister, has been granted a wedding licence, meaning couples can now say “I do” high up in the trees.

It is the only treehouse site in Wales where you can get married and one of the only treehouse wedding venues in the UK.

The beautifully secluded treehouses, nestled deep in the heart of the Radnorshire hills, are perfect for those wanting smaller, intimate weddings, and start from an affordable £2,700.

As well as the ceremony itself, private dining, couples’ massage treatments, honeymoon hampers and romantic picnics in the grounds can also be arranged.

Of course, you can’t get married in a treehouse without staying there afterwards – and each of the treehouses at Squirrels Nest comes with its own private hot tub on the decking and show-stopping freestanding baths.

If you’re keen to find out more about the treehouses and the wedding packages they offer, the venue will be holding a maiden wedding open day on Sunday, September 18, from 11.45am to 3pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to visit all three treehouses on site and envision what their own special day could look like. The event is free to enter and there will be plenty of nibbles and drinks to hand.

During the open day, the venue will also be hosting five-minute massage treatments from their personal masseuse, as part of what Squirrels Nest is able to offer for your wedding ceremony.

Guests can also enjoy the taste of local produce from their personal private dining chef and meet with their photographer to discuss all wedding photo requirements.

Squirrels Nest owners John and Laura Lewis, as well as members of staff, will be available to answer any questions guests have and talk you through what your dream day will look like.

Laura said: “Squirrels Nest is such a special, secluded venue and is the ideal place if you’re looking for a unique and intimate wedding experience.

“It’s literally just you, the trees and your guests – and as it’s set on a working farm, some pretty spectacular views.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer people the opportunity to join us for our very first wedding open day and we can’t wait to meet everyone.”
