A MOTORIST caught speeding at more than 20 miles over the limit in a 30 mile an hour zone has been handed points and a fine of over £600.
Jack Matthew Simpson was spotted driving a Ford Focus Titanium on the A40 in Powys on March 21 this year at a speed of 53mph. Simpson, 24, was clocked at 6.05pm on the A40 at Glangrwyney, near Crickhowell, where the speed limit is 30mph.

The defendant, of Maindiff drive, Llantilio Pertholey, near Abergavenny, admitted speeding but was not at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 19, to hear he was being fined £500.
He was also ordered to pay £90 costs and a £50 surcharge and had 6 points placed on his licence.
