A HEARTBROKEN Powys family have issued a desperate appeal for information after their beloved female cocker spaniel was stolen.

Jazz was stolen from a kennel in Kinnerton, near Presteigne, on April 27, with owner Emma Darling saying the family are desperate to be reunited with her.

Emma said: “Jazz is a massive part of our family and we are absolutely devastated that she is still missing.

“I would like to appeal directly to anyone who may Jazz to please do the right thing and bring her back home to where she belongs.

“If you have rehomed or purchased a female cocker spaniel in good faith that matches Jazz’s description, please do take her to any veterinary practice and ask for them to check for a microchip.

“We’ve had Jazz for a long time and her absence has left an enormous hole in all our lives; we are heartbroken, it’s just horrible not knowing where she is.

“Dogs are part of the family for many people and for them to be cruelly snatched away from what they know and where they feel safe, is truly horrifying.”

Appealing to anyone who may know where Jazz is, non-profit organisation DogLost, who support and assist owners of missing, found or stolen dogs, said: “If you believe you know where Jazz is, or you have been offered Jazz please call DogLost or your local police force on 101.

“Jazz is a female, all black, cocker spaniel. Her microchip details have been flagged as stolen with the relevant microchip companies and the family has been issued with a crime reference number.”

DogLost was founded in 2003 and is run by hardworking volunteers. It is the UK’s largest lost and found dog service, and best of all it's free.
