The crash closed the A470 just over the Powys border in Gwynedd
A BUSY road near the north Powys border has reopened after it was closed earlier today due to a road traffic collision.
The A470 was closed just after 2pm, Traffic Wales announced, following the collision between Dinas Mawddwy and Dolgellau, close to Machynlleth and Llangadfan. The road was closed in both directions but reopened around 4pm.
“A470 travelling in both directions between Dinas Mawddwy and Dolgellau closed due to a collision,” Traffic Wales had initially tweeted.
“Emergency services are on scene. Please find alternative route if you're travelling in the area.”
