THE wheels have been put in motion on a proposed full planning application for a new residential development and associated works in Llandrindod Wells.

Asbri Planning Ltd has been commissioned by Powys firm PAR Homes to submit a pre-application consultation to Powys County Council for the development of approximately 70 properties in two estates in the Lakeside Avenue area of the town.

Pete Roberts, county councillor for the spa town’s South ward, posted a link to the planning notice by Asbri, stating it is an opportunity for local residents to offer their opinions on the proposed development and suggestions on how the plans could be improved.

“Earlier today I received a letter from Asbri announcing a pre-application consultation for the development of approximately 70 properties in two approximately equal sized estates in the fields at the opposite ends of the top road within Lakeside Avenue,” said Councillor Roberts on his Facebook page.

“These fields comprise part of housing allocation P28 HA4 which comprises part of the approved local development plan.

“This is not part of the statutory consultation and any comments made at this point in no way prevent you from supporting or opposing the formal application. It does however offer an opportunity to offer suggestions on how the plans could be improved before they go before planners for a decision.

“Plans have also been placed at the Gwalia but given the limited access at present I plan to get in touch with the consultants to see if they would be willing to host an informal engagement exercise in town during their engagement window.”

The proposals can be accessed online here.

Asbri said it has been commissioned by PAR Homes to undertake the pre-application consultation in respect of the proposed development.

All relevant drawings, reports and supplementary supporting documents are made available for inspection and review online on their website. If you are unable to access the documents electronically you can request copies of this information by emailing mail@asbriplanning.co.uk or phoning the applicant on 02920 732652.
