JOE Soar struck a late winner as Tywyn Bryncrug prevailed in a 3-2 victory at Forden United in the MMP Central Wales League North on Saturday.

All the goals came in the second-half with Harvey Gill's opener for the hosts cancelled out by Aled Jones before the visitors led with Tom Allen on target only for Dan McWhinnie to level.

However Soar struck with just four minutes remaining as the Cormorants went home with three points.

Abermule celebrated a welcome 4-1 win at home to Dyffryn Banw with goals from Charlie Humphreys, Greg Pryce, Aron James and Edward Bennett-Jones cancelling a reply from Rhodri Davies.

Llanilar proved a class apart in a 9-3 thrashing of Aberaeron in the southern league.

Harvey Matthews starred with a hat-trick while Ryan Hopkins struck twice and goals from Ioan Jones, Tom Haynes, Matthew Thomas and an Endaf Williams own goal completed the drubbing while the visitors replied through a Ianto Evans double and Sion Jones strike.

Rhayader Town prevailed 2-0 winners at home to Penybont United with Ryan Addison and Jack Clarke on target for the Kites.
