CAERSWS marked their return to JD Cymru North with a hard-fought 2-1 win at home to Llandudno on Saturday.

The visitors arrived following a troubled pre-season which saw the departure of manager Sean Eardley as well as a majority of last season's squad.

The Bluebirds led after just 10 minutes with Rhys Hesden opening his account for the season after good work by fellow summer arrival Sam Phillips.

Caersws were not to be denied and snatched an opening day winner with four minutes remaining as Hesden squared for Callum Francis-Jones to net a debut goal.
