KERRY Football Club have issued a call to arms to the community in its efforts to upgrade Dolforgan Park.

The MMP Central Wales League North champions aim to develop community changing rooms and a meeting is planned next month with all villagers invited.

A club spokesman said: “Our beloved Kerry Football Club is about to embark on a big project that will benefit our entire community. We’re talking about a shiny, new community changing rooms facility.

“But here’s the thing: we can’t do it alone. We need your help and expertise to make this a reality.

“That’s why we’re hosting an open meeting in The Herbert Arms on August 10th from 7.30pm until 8pm, and you’re all invited.”

OTHER NEWS:

The club is currently enjoying one of its best eras in 20 years with the first team going strong and a new reserve side formed ahead of the new season while Dolforgan Park now boasts a modern seated stand.

However more community support is needed to help the club take the next step.

The spokesman added: “We’re actively searching for passionate individuals to join our sub-committees, the fundraising committee and the project planning committee.

County Times:

“The fundraising committee will be our go-getters, finding creative ways to secure the necessary funds. We’re talking about epic fundraising events, grant applications—anything to make this project successful.

“The project planning committee, on the other hand, will be the behind-the-scenes heroes. We’re looking for people that know their stuff when it comes to building, planning, and consultation.

“Your expertise will ensure we create a top-notch facility that we can all be proud of.

“We want you to leave your mark and be part of something truly special. So, grab your calendars and circle the date. Spread the word far and wide, because this is an open invitation for everyone.”
