BUILTH Wells Ladies Choir has donated more than £2,000 to local charities and community groups following a concert held last year in memory of a popular town figure.
The ladies hosted a concert in October where the Shawbury Military Wives Choir performed. The concert was held in memory of the late Rev Brian Reardon where over £2,000 was raised for local charities.
At a recent choir practise the proceeds of the concert were presented to Builth Wells Community Support, Llandrindod Wells Hospital League of Friends and the Wyeside Arts Centre.

In addition, the choir had specifically chosen to support the renal unit at Llandrindod Wells War Memorial Hospital as its charity of the year and through various fundraising events, an additional sum of £804.17 was raised to support this worthwhile cause.
The choir is grateful to everyone who helped with the concert and to all those who have supported their charity fundraising events over the past 12 months.
