Hundreds of pupils have the day off today (Tuesday) after a school in Powys was forced to close because of no heating due to a gas leak.
Llanidloes High School told parents that classes in the building will not be open for pupils becuase of a utilities failure onsite.
In a message posted on social media on January 23, the school said: "A gas leak at the school means we are without heating and have had to close.

"We are hopeful repairs will be carried out promptly and will update you later today as we receive further information from the engineers.
"Pupils are encouraged to catch up on homework, revise, or read a good book, especially if it's part of our Accelerated Reader programme!"
Powys County Council also confirmed that the secondary school is closed for the whole day due to the utilities failure.
