A Newtown girl's Christmas wish has come true after having up to 10 inches of her hair cut and donate it to the Little Princess Trust in the hope of helping other boys and girls experiencing cancer or other illnesses.
Nine-year-old Layla made the decision after learning on YouTube how the charity makes wigs and hair pieces that will be destined for young people who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions such as Alopecia.
"I’m really happy but not as happy as someone who gets my hair," Layla said.
She had her hair cut and styled for free by Eli at Newtown hair salon Strands which also donated £20 towards her cause. Eli said it was "such an honour to be a part of such a wonderful thing".
