WELCOME to another stroll down memory lane with the County Times.
Today we share some pictures from Newtown pub life of the 1960s and 1970s.
Sadly Newtown has never had fewer pubs than it has today in its history but during the 1960s and 70s the town nightlife was still vibrant.
This also made for thriving pub sports leagues with darts and dominoes leagues part of the social fabric of town life.
Few of these pubs remain today and sadly some of the players have since passed away.
However, pictures like those from our archive, will hopefully stir some memories among those who lived through a wonderful time in the town's history.
Recognise any familiar faces from the Newtown pub sports scene from yesteryear?
