TWO Powys rugby clubs have reflected on their part in a momentous cycling fundraiser.

Members of Meifod based COBRA Rugby Club and Newtown Rugby Club cycled from Cardiff to Edinburgh - a massive 555 mile trek - to raise money for the 'My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.'

The Doddie Cup 555 Challenge is a charity cycling event in honour of ex-Scotland international Doddie Weir who sadly succumbed to MND.

Cyclists included stop offs at a host of Powys clubs enroute with many staying at Welshpool High School overnight.
