A Powys man has appeared in court accused of causing the death of woman by careless or inconsiderate driving in November last year.
Samuel Windsor, 28, of Churchstoke pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on December 6.
It is alleged that he caused the death of 58-year-old Jacqueline Sampson by driving a blue Isuzu Rodeo on the A488 at Wernacton, near Clun, without due care and attention.
A trial has been fixed for August 23, 2023 at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

An inquest into Mrs Sampson's death, held at Shrewsbury Coroner’s Court at Shirehall, heard on Thursday, December 2, 2021, that she was a back-seat passenger of a blue Citroen C3 when the car was involved in a crash with a pickup truck on the A488 between Bishop’s Castle and Clun on Saturday, November 20.
Despite all medical efforts, sadly, Mrs Sampson, of Rotherham, south Yorkshire, died at the scene. Other passengers in the same car were treated for minor injuries.
Mr Windsor will next appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court for a further hearing in court on April 21.
